Job Description

Under the direction of the Vice President of Strategic Impact & Innovation, the Manager of Strategic Impact will advance the YMCA of Metro Atlanta’s Y-2025 strategic plan through project and data management and thought partnership in collaboration with team members in programs, operations, finance, human resources, and financial development to ensure that the association is achieving strategic plan outcomes. The Manager of Strategic Impact analyzes and tracks progress towards all outcomes of the Strategic Plan and serves as the subject matter expert for platforms that support the success of the strategic plan (Achieve It, SurveyMonkey, and Hello Insight). This position is key to a high functioning team at the association level.  

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in program, project, or people management OR a High School diploma or GED with 4+ of experience in program, project, or people management
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings
  • Highly skilled at planning, organizing, and leading multiple projects, establishing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines on a weekly basis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and lead through influence to achieve goals.  
  • Ability to learn and teach new platforms
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong data management skills to support cabinets, department leads and program staff. 
  • Ability to manage multi-part projects driving them to completion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to be proactive and a commitment toward action and driving results
  • Ability to multi-task, including post-implementation analysis, in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
  • A high sense of urgency and integrity and is motivated by new challenges 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or program leadership
  • Experience with SurveyMonkey, Hello Insight, and/or AchieveIt
  • Non-Profit Experience
Essential Functions
  • Support efforts to advance and track outcomes and impact of the strategic plan working across departments and programs, including serving as the administrator of the evaluation platforms.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on AchieveIt, the strategic plan measurement platform, including leading implementation, creating, and managing dashboards, process improvement, inputting data, and staff training and technical assistance.  
  • Lead efforts to cascade strategic plan dashboard reports across the association.
  • Provide project management support for the strategic planning process.
  • Support the design and facilitation of staff experiences to engage staff at all levels in advancing the strategic plan.
  • Design and update presentation decks and other documents that support the strategic plan.
  • Maintain knowledge bank of internal programs across branches to support strategic plan goals.
  • Support current and future innovation initiatives at the Y, including strategic foresight practices and innovation teams.
  • Participate, provide leadership, and provide project management support of cross-functional innovation teams, including planning meeting agendas in collaboration with team lead(s), thought partnership and guidance for team, scheduling meetings, ongoing and consistent communications with team members, and other administrative support.
  • Support Y branches and programs in continuous program quality improvement through feedback surveys through an equity lens, including managing the process and platform and data analysis (survey set up, data tagging, dashboard set ups, etc.).
  • Actively work to create systems and processes that support collaboration across teams and build efficiencies.  
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for community data that supports the strategic plan.
  • Collect and manage a repository of frequently cited statistics, data, and outcomes for reporting to Y-USA, partners, and supporters.
  • Actively participate in cabinets as a representative of Social Impact team.
