As a Sports Coordinator, you’re not just a team member—you’re a game-changer. You’ll create a welcoming, supportive environment for all YMCA programs while keeping the fun and energy levels sky-high!

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team:
🎂 You’re at least 21 years old.
🎓 High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s in recreation, physical ed, or similar preferred).
🏆 Previous experience with youth & adult programs or sports leagues.
Strong communication skills and knowledge of fundamental sports and motor skills.
Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid (will train)
💪 Ready to step up in emergencies with quick thinking and action!

Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities:
🏀 Plan and oversee awesome youth & adult sports programs.
⚽ Engage with kids, parents, and adult athletes to build a positive community.
🏐 Recruit and motivate volunteer coaches for sports leagues.
🏈 Set up and clean up for leagues like basketball, soccer, flag football, and more.
👋 Greet members with a smile, learn their names, and make them feel at home.
💡 Help members achieve their goals and connect them with programs that match their interests.
🚨 Ensure equipment is in tip-top shape and maintain clean, safe environments.
📋 Assist the Sports Director with admin tasks like staff scheduling, payroll monitoring, and reports.

Required Certifications

You’re at least 21 years old.
