The YMCA of Greater Erie is Seeking a dynamic Executive Director to champion our mission and enhance our community impact. 
Job Description

The Eastside YMCA Branch Executive Director leads the organization's efforts in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This role promotes the Y's mission and reputation within the community, oversees branch operations, and collaborates with staff, volunteers, and community partners. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Executive Director also manages the Transportation Coordinator, providing oversight for the association. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, business, or a related field.
  • YMCA multi-team Leader certification preferred.
  • Six or more years of management experience in a YMCA or nonprofit setting.
  • Proven ability to manage operations, volunteer development, budgeting, and program development.
  • Experience in recruiting and managing volunteers, particularly community leaders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with diverse groups.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with community organizations.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to use a computer and communicate effectively via phone and smart devices.
  • Regularly required to sit, reach, and move around the work environment.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Essential Functions
  • Build community bridges to ensure access to the Y for all.
  • Communicate the Y’s community impact to stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Manage budgeting to align resources with priorities, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Develop and implement member engagement strategies and programs.
  • Oversee financial development activities for the branch.
  • Lead strategic planning and develop the annual operating plan.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff effectively.
  • Foster innovation in member-focused programs that align with the Y’s mission.
  • Ensure the safety and quality of facilities and equipment.
  • Responsible for working within the association to help achieve association goals (i.e. Serving on committees, participating in board meetings and functions, etc.

Required Certifications
