HVAC Maintenance Technician

The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a HVAC Maintenance Technician. 
Job Description

This job conducts work at multiple locations. Truck is provided. 

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance and repair on HVAC and boiler equipment including filters, bearings, heat exchangers, clean coils, belts, pneumatic controls and replace compressors and fan motors.
  • Other responsibilities include washing machine and dryer repair, refrigeration and freezer repair, general plumbing repair, knowledge of electrical systems including lighting and ballast replacement and general maintenance repair at the branches.
  • Develop and implement training programs for branch maintenance.
  • Monitor Trane Summit and implement changes or repairs if needed.
  • Provide timely response to maintenance work order system and customer requests for services and resolve issues within a reasonable time.
Qualifications
Requirements
  • The incumbent must have the following educational status: Technicians degree from an accredited trade school; working knowledge of all phases of facilities maintenance including heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and control systems and installation of new equipment.
  • Must maintain a state-of-the-knowledge relating to all aspects of maintenance technology and have a Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification as required by U.S. EPA 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart F.
  • Must have 5 years working experience and the knowledge and skills to train other maintenance personnel.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Trane Summit EMS software system.
  • Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and be qualified and able to perform "On Call" duties as required with minimum supervision.
