Facility Maintenance Technician

The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a Facility Maintenance Texhnician. 
Job Description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of 16 branches and 2 destination camps - all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families and communities. We are hiring a full time Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure we maintain quality facilities that will exceed the expectations of our members. This position is responsible for general maintenance repairs with emphasis on painting, dry wall repair, lighting replacement, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing at the different branch locations in the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. Dallas YMCA Maintenance Technicians also service the Arlington and Fort Worth YMCA branches. Company vehicle is provided for driving to and from various branch locations. 

Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (some flexibility allowed), Saturdays as required with a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

Demonstrated background, knowledge, and expertise as it relates to painting, drywall repair, minor electric and plumbing. Must have knowledge of 120V and 277 V lighting systems and be able to safely use a scissors lift up to 26 feet high. Proficient in electrical testing equipment with emphasis on a digital voltmeter (DVM). Professional communication skills are required as this position will interface with staff, members, and some contractors. Provide timely responses to maintenance work order system and resolve issues within a reasonable time. Perform other duties as required. 

Must be 18 years or older. Must have valid Texas Driver’s License, own transportation, and clean driving record.  Mileage submitted as required by YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas will be reimbursed as outlined in the policy. Own tools are helpful, but not required. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
