Job Description

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a candidate driven by passion for the YMCA mission with proven strategic insights and adaptability to fill the role of Regional Director of Membership Sales and Engagement. The Director will travel to assigned Y branches to help train, support and equip staff with the necessary tools to drive membership growth and enhance the member experience. Focus will be on membership sales, retention, standards and strategies that will ultimately reduce terminations and strengthen member loyalty.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in sales, retention strategies, and training & development. Supervisory experience is preferred. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills to translate data into strategic insights and recommendations, as well as knowledge of staff development and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, are essential. A passion for the YMCA mission and the ability to effectively articulate its business strategy, standards, and branch tactics are key. The role requires an organized, strategic thinker with strong management skills, initiative, and adaptability. Candidates must also have excellent time management skills and the ability to travel throughout the Greater Richmond YMCA region with flexible hours.

Essential Functions

Achieve established sales goals by working prospect lists and develop new prospects to sell membership and program through a variety of sales medium.

Reduce terminations and enhance member loyalty by managing efficiency reports to identify at-risk memberships.

Achieve established onboarding goals by ensuring branch tactics are executed across multiple departments.

Serve as Membership expert by mentoring branch leadership team in product knowledge, features and benefits, processing procedures, required learning opportunities, and data analysis insights.

Support branch/department initiatives related to membership sales, terminations, onboarding and retention tactics.
