Salary: $156,000 Annually

The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Director of Enterprise Risk Management who will work with the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management to protect the organization’s assets, protect it from risk, and maintain organizational integrity.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; English, safety, business, math, or finance majors are preferred.
  • Ten (10) to twenty (20) years of experience with an insurance company or broker preferred, preferably in loss control or claims.
  • Maintain professional designations such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or other recognized designations.
  • Be familiar with standards and requirements established by OSHA, NYC, and NFPA.
  • Must have strong writing skills and an aptitude for statistics.
  • Must be adept at Microsoft Suite products, including, but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business-related analyses.
Essential Functions
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc field visits to branches and off-site locations, providing written reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, both in person and virtually, to train branch staff on risk management and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management to develop risk management strategies that ensure the safety and protection of members, associates, and physical property, with both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Review and analyze internal and external claims data related to General Liability and Workers’ Compensation exposures to identify trends and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures addressing member and associate safety, health, and the conservation of physical property.
  • Participate in claims review meetings and other risk service planning discussions to enhance risk management initiatives.
  • Lead and support risk-centric cause-and-effect projects to address emerging challenges and improve risk mitigation efforts.
  • Assist the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management in overseeing and managing risk control and claims services provided by insurance carriers and brokers to ensure optimal support and effectiveness.
