Job Description

The Membership Engagement Associate is responsible for all operations of the Welcome Center team. The primary functions are to ensure the meeting of all membership and program sales, reporting, retention, revenue, and quality service goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school degree plus minmum of 2 years ina customer service position

Knowledge of data entry and computer operations, experience with Daxko preferred

Exceptional organizational skills

Ability to promote a positive and caring image to members

Multi-tasking and critial thinking abilities

Essential Functions

1.    Maintain an efficient, organized, and systematic Welcome Center.

2.    Researches, recommends, and implements marketing strategies that result in increased membership recruitment and retention.

3.    Create and implement marketing materials, upon approval, for programs, events, membership initiatives, and staff communication.

4.    Follow abuse risk management policies and protocols including following screening requirements and utilizing screening tools, providing ongoing supervision, and training related to abuse risk, provide regular feedback to employees and volunteers regarding boundaries with consumers and requiring employees and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.

5.    Serve as Director on Duty as scheduled.

6.    Perform the following membership operations:

·        Process Memberships.

·        Maintain and update Daxko as needed.

·        Maintain Annual Memberships, including billing and renewal goals.

·        Process Membership Cancellations.

·        Review all processes daily.

·        Maintain bank draft and credit card draft Membership.

·        Implement a new, effective new member retention process with an updated 30, 60, 90 day communication plan.

·        Run membership reports as needed.

·        Follow-up on insufficient funds and tracking.

·        Process Tour/Sales – Facilitate tracking.

·        Organize and schedule member service events like blood drives, flu clinics, screenings, member appreciation days, etc.

·        Process Financial Assistance applications and reporting.

7.    Identify and resolve problem areas to ensure member satisfaction.

8.    Practice membership strategies that promote recruitment of new members and retention of existing members.

9.    Maintain accurate and consistent registration entries.  Assist with program promotion and marketing plan.

10.  Represent the Ocean Community YMCA at community events.

11.  Assist with branch and association special events as requested.

12.  Actively promote and assist in Annual Support Campaign.

13.  Work and communicate cooperatively with all department heads to provide accurate information, excellent customer service and efficient Welcome Center operations.
