Job Description

The Sports Director, working under the direction of the Senior Program Director, is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs and activities related to toddler, pre-school, youth, adult, and older adult sports and recreation.

Qualifications

·    Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Sports & Leisure Management, Recreation or      related field.

·    3-5 year’s experience in  youth sports, coaching or programming

·     Supervisory experience including recruiting, hiring, and training    

Essential Functions

·    Overseeing and coordinating instructional and competitive sports programs

·    Administering,  overseeing, and/or instructing youth and adult sports programs

·    Securing facility rentals with outside organizations

·    Recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff and volunteers in sports programs including gymnastics, pickleball, and basketball.

·     Organizing program schedules

·     Developing and managing program budgets

·     Assisting with marketing of programs and distribution of program materials.

·     Managing payroll for support staff

·     Assisting with planning special events including sponsorships and collaborations.
