Aquatics Specialist

Maintain and account for all equipment in program areas and ensure proper use of all YMCA equipment and facilities.

Take appropriate corrective action with pool contaminations and reporting to the Aquatics Director and/or Executive Director the nature of contamination.

Develop and deliver program quality management and development of swim team program while keeping active YMCA certifications.

Provide a safe swim environment for all members while keeping all lifeguard certifications up to date.

Provide lifeguard coverage at branch when needed.

Ensure all patrons are safe in pool.

Maintain current CPR, AED, Emergency Oxygen, First Aid, Lifeguard, RI Waterfront Lifeguard and certifications.

Develop and maintain relationships with YMCA members.

Responsible for all pool safety procedures.  Will assist with rehearsing safety drills during orientation week and every session to ensure their efficiency.

Keep accurate records on all  volunteers in swim team programs.

Oversight of Swim Team Head Coach.

Will assist with special events and activities when necessary.

Follow all lifeguard protocols as determined by the YMCA and supervisor.

Recruits, hires, and supervises lifeguards at branch.

Provide administrative support for the team.

Other duties as assigned.
