Job Description
  • Organize, supervise and administer all Sports Programs, Summer Specialty Sports Camps and any other special programs that may be requested
  • Responsible for the operation of our Outdoor Adventure Course, which includes, zip line, tower, low elements and paintball
  • Develops budget for all programs and maintains fiscal soundness
  • Responsible for developing new programs and growth of existing programs
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising all sports staff and volunteers (Coaches, officials, supervisors, and maintenance crews)
  • Responsible for marketing all programs
  • Maintains and updates all equipment and supplies pertaining to programs
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree in Physical education, Recreation, Sports Management, or related field is preferred or 2 years equivalent experience
  • Must have good communication, organizational, and conflict management skills
Essential Functions

The Sports Director is responsible for all Youth and Adult Sports programming for the Moultrie YMCA. In addition, this position is responsible for the operations of the Outdoor Adventure Course and Summer Day Camp. This individual will also assist other staff in carrying out the programs of the organization as needed.
