Job Description

The Granite YMCA is seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Day Camp & Teens to lead our Day Camp, Teen, and Kid Zone programs. In this full-time role, you’ll oversee program operations, manage staff, and foster positive community relationships to create enriching youth experiences. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of camp management or related experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working with children and teens in recreational or educational settings
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Mini Bus Driving Credentials (or willingness to obtain)
Essential Functions
  • Lead and supervise Day Camp, Teen, and Kid Zone programs such as:
    • Teen Programs (Leaders Club, LIT/CIT, monthly Teen Nights, quarterly Teen Trips, supporting Youth & Government conferences)
    • Kid Zone (including KZ+ activities and monthly Kids Night Out)
  • Manage staff, schedules, and ensure program quality
  • Develop and manage budgets, track enrollment, and maintain program records
  • Build partnerships with community organizations and families
  • Provide training and development for staff
  • Attend relevant professional development and industry-related meetings and conferences both internally and externally

This is a primarily a Monday - Friday position with some nights and weekends required.
