Youth Development Coordinator, Plano YMCA Preschool

The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a Youth Development Coordinator at our Plano YMCA Preschool. 
Job Description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of 16 branches and 2 destination camps - all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families, and communities. We are currently hiring a Youth Development Coordinator for our Preschool program at the Plano YMCA. 

Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the direct oversight of the Preschool Program. This position will focus on providing high quality programming that meet all requirements of the State of Texas Child Care Licensing as well as all YMCA guidelines and best practices. Hours are split between classroom ratio and administrative duties, flexible schedule based on program needs.

  • Hires, manages, directs and supervises preschool staff.
  • Ensures that preschool is staffed appropriately and is operating according to licensing requirements.
  • Works with Senior Program Director to implement curriculum content that ensures programs are operated with the highest quality possible.
  • Assists with budgets related to the preschool program. Ensures program operates within budget and that program fees are collected.
  • Works closely with branch leadership staff to develop strong relationships and partnerships within the community.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with state licensing agency, parent groups and other organizations related to assigned programs.
  • Provides communication to parents regarding program schedules, activities, reminders and important updates.
  • Attends leadership meetings. Assists with branch events and campaign. Performs other duties as assigned by administration. 
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a field that meets State Licensing requirements preferred. Two years of experience working in a recreation, educational, or childcare setting. Experience in administration, including personnel management, budget development and control, supervision, curriculum and program planning is preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Must remain current on all education requirements, as well as maintaining certification good standing.
