The Hockomock Area YMCA is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated childcare professional to lead our Early Learning Center at the Bernon Family Branch in Franklin, MA. As the Senior Director of the Early Learning Center, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children, families, and staff. You'll oversee every aspect of the center's operations, including budgeting, compliance, staff development, and curriculum innovation. In addition to overseeing an on-site branch program, this role also involves leading an exciting new off-site preschool program and ensuring its success and alignment with our mission. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with EEC Director II certification
- At least three years of leadership experience running an Early Childhood Center, strongly preferred
- Proven ability to inspire and manage a team, fostering professional development
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Certifications Required:
- CPR/First Aid
- Child Abuse Prevention
- Darkness to Light
- EEC Certification
Essential Functions
- Oversees the Early Learning Center program, ensuring it runs smoothly and meets the highest standards
- Builds strong relationships with families, providing guidance and hosting events that foster community
- Inspires, recruits, trains, and develops staff, cultivating a culture of collaboration and continuous growth
- Drives program and curriculum development, encouraging creativity and innovation to keep students engaged
- Collaborates to increase enrollments and plan family engagement activities beyond regular hours
- Maintains strict adherence to Massachusetts laws, EEC licensing requirements, and safety standards
- Participates in budgeting and financial management to ensure the center operates efficiently and effectively
- Facilitates regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in Association and department meetings and committees as assigned
