Job Description

The Recruiter plays a vital role on the Talent Acquisition team, collaborating with internal partners and hiring managers to ensure a proactive, efficient, and professional talent acquisition process. This role is dedicated to creating a positive and seamless candidate experience for all applicants.

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including recruitment planning, sourcing and screening candidates (both active and passive), managing job postings on internal and external platforms, conducting phone interviews, facilitating in-person or virtual panel interviews,
extending job offers, and overseeing candidates and requisitions within our applicant tracking system.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  1. Minimum of three (3+) years’ experience in talent acquisition or related field or as an internal hiring manager at the YMCA.
  2. A four (4) degree in business, human resources or related field or five (5) years of equivalent work experience.

  13. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and the ability to become proficient in Association specific software applications.
  14. Experience with ATS systems, UKG Workforce Ready a plus.
  15. Self starter with the ability to handle ambiguity and willingness to accept additional responsibility.

All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.

Essential Functions
  1. Manage full-cycle recruitment for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions, including sourcing,
    interviewing, and onboarding.
  2. Facilitate interviews, ensuring a streamlined and welcoming process for all participants.
  3. Collaborate with talent development and HR to create a successful onboarding experience for
    new hires.
  4. Develop internal pipelines to promote internal growth, address skill gaps, and suggest
    development opportunities.
  5. Execute recruitment strategies and provide continuous process improvement feedback.
  6. Support and lead diversity recruitment initiatives, aligning efforts with DEI strategy.
  7. Participate in job fairs and recruitment events, sharing leads and networking with industry
    contacts.
  8. Manage recruitment timelines, sourcing plans, and candidate tracking in the ATS.
  9. Implement innovative recruitment methods, leveraging social media and technology.
  10. Provide regular reports on staffing effectiveness and recruitment metrics.
  11. Organize seasonal hiring events and ensure staffing needs are met across centers.
  12. Deliver a positive candidate experience and exemplary service to all stakeholders.
