Job Description

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a motivated, cause-driven Youth Development Director to provide leadership to the YMCA's Youth Development department - with supervision of our early learning center located at Liberation church.

Qualifications
  • Experience with supervising staff, budgeting and program administration.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates must meet Virginia DOE licensing requirements: college-level coursework in a related field or CDA required.
  • Minimum age is 21.
  • Candidates must be responsible, enthusiastic, and able to direct children and staff in a positive way.
  • At least 3 years experience with preschool age children.
Essential Functions

The Director will provide leadership to The Early Learning Center, to include supporting a team of dedicated early learning professionals and ensuring the education, care and development of children from 2 years of age through pre-K while leading the center and fostering a culture of inspiration, accountability and support. The Director develops and implements policies, procedures, and curriculum designed to meet the needs of children and parents.
