The Bangor Region YMCA has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned child development professional to manage, direct and grow our Child Development program.
Our Child Development Director must be positive, energetic, flexible and a true leader in every sense of the word. They must have an impeccable work ethic and a solid work attendance history. They must be visionary, strategic, possess strong communication skills and be an inspirational manager of our Y team.
The Child Development Director oversees the Early Childhood Education and Before and After School programs. Acts as a supervisor, mentor and motivator to the staff and develops and implements high quality, enriching and fun programming for our children.

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in child development or related field.
2. Experience as an early childhood education and before and after school program manager or related fields,
3. Experience with program evaluation using evidence-based practices or ability and willingness to learn these practices.
4. Experience with State of Maine program licensing and safety standards.
5. Must possess the ability to elevate and maintain the highest level of program standards through Maine Roads to Quality.
6. MRTQ level must be a level 5 or higher.
7. Must understand, create and manage program budgets effectively.
Provide exceptional customer service to contribute to a positive experience for all parents and children enrolled in the Y’s Child Development program.
